Before Toto was formed the members of the group did session work for other musicians. During the tour for the album 40 Trips Around the Sun the drummer Leland Sklar left the group and was replaced by Shem von Schroeck. In 2017, Toto released the double-CD set Falling in Between. It included tour recordings and also an interview with the group.
